With the holidays nearing their end, we are now down to enjoying and savoring its last weekend before coming back to work and poring over piles of paperwork again. For some, this remaining part of the break could mean a final chance to spend the best of quality time with the family, a weekend in the Adventure World perhaps, a small picnic, a trip to the Zoo, or a day packed with family games and activities. All of these, we have in this Guide for some of Perth’s family-friendly weekend getaway.

This, to be followed by another refreshing and relaxing Community Meditation and Yoga not far from the sound of the sea splashing on the shore – an absolutely nature experience perfect for a most-sought tranquil weekend.
The Pilates will continue at 9 am live with some live music pumping up the official opening of the Market. To freely hop from one stall to another, parents can leave their kids to do some arts, crafts, salty play, and educational workshops under the care of the Kids Nature Club.
Smurfs at Perth Zoo | 20 Labouchere Rd, Perth, WA, Australia
The Search is On for Papa Smurf, Smurfette, and the rest of the Lil’ blue gang at Perth Zoo this weekend, January 2. If it’s some animated treat that you’re looking to give to your kids, now is the perfect time to make them follow the map and crack secret codes to find all of the Smurfs hiding around the Zoo grounds.
And no, tell your kids that there won’t be any smurfberries to eat, but they can always run to the food trucks all over the place or dig into picnic goods you’ve packed for the day.
For every Saturday of the month, the zoo closes late at 7 PM, so you can still tour around the place and see its wonders at twilight.
