Plateful Perth 2026 Is Still On… And There’s Plenty Left to Taste

Haven’t made it to Plateful Perth yet? You haven’t missed your chance.

Perth’s month-long celebration of food and drink is already in full swing, but there’s still plenty of time to pull up a chair. Plateful Perth continues until 31 August 2026, with special menus, dining deals, one-off events and experiences still happening at venues across the city.

So, if you’ve been meaning to organise that dinner, catch up over cocktails or simply try somewhere new, consider this your reminder: there’s still time to get a taste of Plateful Perth.

A Month Made for Eating Your Way Around Perth

Running from 1–31 August 2026, Plateful Perth brings together more than 90 exclusive offers and events across over 80 Perth venues.

Rather than taking place at one festival site, the celebration unfolds throughout the city. Restaurants, bars, hotels and other hospitality venues are serving up their own limited-time menus, special offers and experiences, making Plateful Perth as much about exploring the city as it is about what’s on your plate.

The program is divided into five categories — Premium Plates, Feast, Sip Sessions, Bargain Bites and Gourmet Getaways — so you can choose your own kind of food adventure.

Premium Plates is where you’ll find special chef collaborations, degustations and one-off dining events. Feast is made for those occasions when you want to settle in and enjoy something a little more indulgent, while Sip Sessions turns the attention to cocktails, wine, whiskey and other drinks experiences.

If you’re looking for something easier on the wallet, Bargain Bites brings together affordable meals, express lunches and special offers. And for those who want to make a night of it, Gourmet Getaways pairs city dining with accommodation.

And There Are Still Some Great Events to Come

Being halfway through August doesn’t mean the best has already been served.

Several standout one-off experiences are still ahead on the 2026 calendar.

On Thursday, 20 August, Garum hosts La Cucina della Nonna with Guy Grossi, bringing together Guy Grossi, Paolo Apuzzo and three Italian nonnas for an evening centred around family recipes, storytelling and Italian cooking. The four-course experience is paired with Cape Mentelle Museum Release wines.

Also on 20 August, Double Rainbow at The Rechabite presents Drink Grand. Feast Proper. The Korean-Australian kitchen joins forces with Grand Cru for four courses accompanied by five wines, with pairings designed to play with the usual rules. The experience is $159 per person, with bookings essential.

For anyone who would rather get involved in the cooking, Behind the Grill: Tomahawk Masterclass takes place at Ascua on Friday, 21 August, from 4:00–6:00 pm. The hands-on experience explores wood-fire cooking and premium Western Australian beef under the guidance of Ascua’s chefs. Tickets are $249 per person.

Wine lovers can look ahead to the Great Southern Winter Wine Market at Print Hall on Saturday, 22 August, from 1:00–4:00 pm. Twenty Great Southern wine producers will be represented, alongside premium canapés and the opportunity to purchase wines at cellar-door prices. Tickets are $85 per person, and bookings are essential.

And the calendar continues after that, with experiences including Cabernet & The Carvery at Mayfair Lane on 26 August.

In other words, there’s still plenty left on the table.

You Don’t Need a Big Night Out to Join In

One of the nice things about Plateful Perth is that participating doesn’t necessarily mean committing to an elaborate degustation or expensive night out.

Some offers run throughout most or all of August, which makes it easy to fit Plateful Perth into an ordinary lunch, after-work drink or weekend in the city.

At Bobèche Cocktail Bar, for example, Steak Frites is available Tuesday to Saturday until 29 August for $25 per person, featuring a 250g Stirling Ranges striploin with chips and jus.

Over at The Heritage Wine Bar & Restaurant, the Plateful Perth offering pairs six freshly shucked oysters with two glasses of Sittella 2019 Grand Vintage ‘Marie Christien Lugten’ for $60 per package, available Monday to Saturday throughout the festival.

There are plenty of other options too, from affordable winter lunches and pizza deals to seafood, shared feasts, international flavours and drinks experiences.

That range is part of the appeal. You can build an evening around one of the festival’s headline events, or simply use Plateful Perth as an excuse to try somewhere different for lunch.

Turn Dinner Into a Perth Staycation

If you’d rather stretch the experience beyond a meal, Plateful Perth’s Gourmet Getaways combine dining with an overnight city stay.

Novotel Perth Murray Street, for example, is offering a Gastronomy Package during August that includes accommodation, a two-course dinner at Miss Mi with sparkling wine, buffet breakfast, late checkout and access to the hotel’s facilities, with packages starting from $426 per night.

There’s also Stay & Dine at the Quay at Quay Perth, combining an overnight stay with a three-course dinner at HQ Bar + Kitchen, breakfast for two and other inclusions for $429 per night.

For Perth locals, it offers a different way to experience your own city: check in, leave the car parked and let dinner turn into a proper night away.

Rediscover the City One Plate at a Time

Perhaps the best part of Plateful Perth is that it gives you a reason to look at the city differently.

It’s easy to fall into a routine of returning to the same restaurants, ordering the same favourites and walking past places you’ve always meant to try.

For one month, the festival gives you an excuse to change that.

Head into Northbridge for a dinner you wouldn’t normally book. Try a new restaurant in the CBD. Meet friends for a midweek drink. Make Saturday lunch last a little longer than usual. Or book a room and rediscover Perth as though you were visiting for the first time.

And because the festival isn’t over yet, there’s still time to do exactly that.
