Beaufort Street has a new Irish Pub joining the strip this December, combining Irish traditions of quality pub grub and great drinks,
plus late-night fun and Guinness selfies!
Inspired by one of Ireland’s most revered figures, Molly Malone, the legend has been brought to life by a team of Irish expats who have been stalwarts of Perth’s hospitality scene for years. This new Irish Pub showcases a slice of the Emerald Isle to Beaufort Street delivering traditional flavour and good times from a local team.
A trip to Dublin isn’t complete without a photo alongside the iconic statue of Molly Malone, famous for living a double life across day and night. With that inspiration, Molly’s in Highgate promises a local pub that knows how to shift gears. Pubgoers can look forward to a neighbourhood Irish pub by day fuelled by great food, creamy Guinness and a warm welcome. At night the Beaufort Street venue transitions into an after-dark bar bringing good times, live music, and top cocktails.
As well as a menu, drinks list and fit-out that’s committed to the classics, Molly’s also delivers an Irish first to Perth. Guinness selfies! That’s right, you can get your selfie printed atop the head of your perfectly poured Guinness. There’s no better way to say, Sláinte!
The kitchen is led by head chef Mark McColl from Donegal (Ireland), so expect tasty pub grub alongside Irish staples that are all designed to warm the soul. There’s house-made Guinness brown bread, a real chip butty, and the signature pie made in collaboration with their neighbours down the road, Butter Crumbs bakery on Beaufort Street – think buttery rich pastry, slow-cooked beef, and rich Guinness gravy.
Every Irish Pub is rightly measured on its Guinness, and Molly’s guarantees the perfect pour. Lovers of the black stuff will enjoy the finest, creamiest pints Perth has to offer. With a drinks list that blends Irish classics with local heroes, you’ll find quality beer and wine sitting alongside delicious cocktails.
Authentically Irish throughout, Molly’s was renovated by the skilled hands of an Irish craftsman who journeyed from Ireland to meticulously refit the venue. Transforming the former Beaufort Tavern site, you’ll see the artisanal touch of his work that ensures true Irish atmosphere in both look and feel. Whether you’re after a few pints in the beer garden, a family dinner in the heart of the venue or a comfy bar stool to perch at overlooking the Beaufort strip – Molly’s has you covered.
The team behind Molly’s is a seasoned hospitality crew, led by Niall Tolan. Having worked on some of Perth’s most well-known Irish Pubs and venues, Niall understands how to deliver a traditional Irish Pub experience that welcomes locals and visitors alike. “An Irish Pub needs to hit the mark on a few things to feel authentic. Exceptional service, tasty comfort food, lively atmosphere and of course, a creamy pint of Guinness.” “It’s all about that warm welcome and sense of community. Walking into an Irish Pub and instantly feeling at home no matter where you’re from around the world is special. We look forward to delivering that to all that walk through the doors,” Niall says.
Molly’s Irish Pub opens its doors in December, for lunch and dinner seven days a week, with live music every weekend.
