Calling all spirit lovers! Fremantle Markets Distillers Festival is this weekend!
Taking flavours and hints from Australia’s stunning rural flora, the Fremantle Markets Distillers Festival will provide your traditional spirits with an iconic Aussie twist. Whether you’re fond of a classic G&T or prefer a glass of smooth whiskey, you’re sure to find a drop to tickle your taste buds at this must-visit event at the iconic Fremantle Markets.
12 local WA distillers will be setting up shop throughout the Fremantle Markets, learn about your favourite drinks from the experts themselves while you sip away with free tastings.
Sip back on the refreshing Seven Zero Eight Gin Mid-Strength Gin & Slim Tonic Cans from This low alcohol and low-calorie pre-mix blends the award-winning 23 mid-strength, low-calorie gin with a Handcrafted Slim Tonic infused with the essence of citrus.
HHH Distill will be bringing along the first spirit they ever released, Wax Lyrical, its signature ingredient being the leaf of WA native, Geraldton Wax (chamelaucium uncinatum). Expertly blended with juniper, coriander seeds, angelica root, cassia bark, liquorice root, calamus root, almond and lemon peel, it produces a uniquely savoury but sweet flavour.
It’s so versatile, perfect for drinking neat or mixing it into cocktails!
AmberChes Spirits Distillery is a family-run distillery producing craft gins right here in WA. Handcrafted using local botanicals and fruits where available, AmberChes gins appear and disappear as the seasons change. At the Distillers Festival, you’ll find:
- Botanical Gin: flavoured with junipers and other botanicals, then finished with apple and elderflower.…
- Raspberry Delight: naturally sweetened with raspberries and has the characteristics of a dry gin but with a raspberry finish.
- Orange Infusion: made using fresh whole oranges, this gin has an intense orange flavour giving a citrus twist on the classic gin.
Bombak Distillery have a lineup of three fabulous gins for you to choose from all crafted with botanicals native to Western Australia:
- Citrus Gin: inspired by native species including Lemon Grass (C. ambiguus), it offers earthy citrus notes along with Sweet Peppermint leaf (A. flexuosa) that provides a sweet undertone and fresh citrus.Flora Gin: includes Geraldton Wax (C. uncinatum), Bottlebrushes (Callistemon R. Br) and Sweet Peppermint leaf (A. flexuosa) to generate a herbaceous flavour.
- Navy Citrus Gin: the overproof, juniper-forward, full-bodied version of their Citrus Gin. Natives include Lemon Grass (C. ambiguus) and Sweet Peppermint leaf (A. flexuosa) along with fresh WA citrus.
